I do not promise to fix all your problems. But I sure as hell promise you won’t have to face them alone.
I cannot promise you that I will not get angry, or upset, or freak out sometimes. But you better believe I’m worth riding it out. (And trust me, I usually get over it really fast, especially with a simple “I’m Sorry.”)
I CAN promise that I’ll be goofy.
I can’t promise that I’ll always be happy, or always be cheerful, but when I am, it’s worth it to see me smile. :)
I can’t promise that I’ll ALWAYS be able to be physically there for you, but I’ll do the damn BEST I can to give you emotional support at all times.
I can promise that I will always feel better after a shopping trip.
I can’t promise that I won’t complain, but know that if I complain to you, I TRUST you with my problems.
I can promise that I’ll always play video games with you. (And I love to just sit and watch you play.)
I can promise to support you in your decisions, whether I agree with them or not.
And I can promise to voice my opinion to you if I DON’T agree.
But I won’t put you down, and I won’t speak badly about you if you treat me right.
I can promise that I will do my best to make every day a good memory.
